WESTFIELD, NJ — A burglar broke into a home on the 1100 block of Boulevard in Westfield Thursday night, according to police.

Chief Christopher Battiloro said the residents' son received an alert from the Ring camera app at around 6 p.m. on Thursday. When he arrived at his parents' house, he saw someone inside the house looking out the front door, Battiloro said.

The burglar then fled out the back of the house and sounded his car horn before driving off, according to Battiloro.
