Finances Of One Westfield Place To Be Discussed Again Next Week

A second financial discussion on the proposed Lord & Taylor development will take place on Jan. 11. Find out how to watch and ask questions:

WESTFIELD, NJ — As the proposed One Westfield Place redevelopment, at the former Lord & Taylor site, remains a hot topic among residents, the town is hosting another Facebook Live event to discuss the financials of the project.

The second financial discussion, which will go into further details than the first one, will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. on the town's Facebook page.

The town has also updates its FAQs with more detailed financial information in response to new questions the town has received, which you can read at westfieldnj.gov/994/One-Westfield-Place-FAQs (scroll to the Financial Overview tab).

Residents are also encouraged to get informed by visiting the Downtown preview center at 76 Elm Street in order to provide valuable input into the proposal.

More than 1,200 people have signed a petition, demanding the council to rethink the One Westfield Place development, arguing that it is too large in scale and will cause more traffic, pollution and congestion in town.
