What you need to know today in Westfield.
Boot Camp Westfield is kicking off the fall season with a free demo class extreme class at 5:45 a.m. and a free “lite” class at 9:15 a.m. The outdoor workout program’s fall session runs from Sept. 11 to Oct. 23. The program happens in Tamaques Park.
The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at the Westfield Diner at 8 a.m. for current and prospective members to network. No RSVP and free of charge. Questions? Contact Jacki Walters at jwalters@westfiledareachamber.com or 908-233-3021.
Friends of the Library Knitting Club will meet at 1 p.m.
Meetings: The Westfield Council will meet at 8 p.m.. On the agenda is the demolition of several single-family dwellings and a resolution to appoint a new Emergency Management Director, view the full agenda, here.
The Board of Education will also host a workshop meeting at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the Board Goals.
Register for tomorrow’s 'One Seat Ride' into NYC presentation. Westfielder and Director emeritus of the Alan Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers University, Martin Robins, will speak about 'New York Direct' Wednesday at 7 p.m at the Westfield Memorial Library.
