Holiday Lights Contest In Westfield To Allow Public Voting

WESTFIELD, NJ — If you've decked out your house for the holiday season, you may want to enter into some friendly competition.

Registration for the 2022 Westfield Recreation Holiday Lights Contest is open until Thursday, Dec. 15 at 11:59 p.m. for Westfield residents. After registration closes, voting will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 and end on Saturday, Dec. 26.

Contestants must email a photo of their home to recreation@westfieldnj.gov by Thursday.

The link to vote will be published on Dec. 16 on the town's website, Facebook and Civic Recreation site. All winners will be announced on Dec. 28th.

The prizes are as follows:

• 1st Place: $75.00 Yifty Gift Card
• 2nd Place: $50.00 Yifty Gift Card
• 3rd Place: $25.00 Yifty Gift Card

Contest Rules

All participants must agree to have one or more photos of their home on the town website and Recreation Facebook page, and all participants must agree to have their address on the town's Google map for voting.

Judging will be based on "curb appeal," and only decorations that are outside and in front of the home will be judged. The public will then complete a survey to vote for their favorite holiday home.

Participants also must have their decorations up for the entire judging time frame, Dec. 16 to Dec. 26.
