WESTFIELD, NJ — Hummus Republic, a healthy fast-casual restaurant, recently opened in Westfield.
The growing, modern Mediterranean food franchise has planted roots at 102 East Broad Street in Westfield. Owners Mihir Shah and Sahil Mayur officially opened on March 28.
The largely plant-based, fast-casual restaurant lets people customize their meals. First, pick a wrap, pita or bowl. Then choose from different bases, including organic Mediterranean couscous, kale and warm garbanzo beans. Then choose a hummus, a protein and add unlimited toppings.

The menu offers Halal, Vegan, Gluten-Free options.
The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
