What you need to know this week in Westfield.

Meetings:
The Westfield town council will meet on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. On the agenda, sever resolutions will be approved in finance, town property and public works. More, here.

Candidate Debate:
On Thursday evening, a candidates forum will be held at the Westfield Municipal Building council chambers. The event is held by TV36 and The Westfield Leader. Start time is 7:30 p.m.

Sports: Oct. 21:
Girls Tennis vs. J.P. Stevens at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 22: Field Hockey vs. Millburn (home) at 4 p.m., Girls Soccer vs. Oak Knoll (away) at 4 p.m. Oct. 24: Field Hockey vs. Glen Ridge (home) at 4 p.m., Boys Soccer vs. New Providence (home) at 4 p.m., Girls Tennis vs. Plainfield (home) at 4 p.m.

9th Annual Jewish Film Festival:
Multiple movies will be screened at the Westfield Rialto from Oct. 23- Nov. 19. Each day a new film will show at 7:30 p.m.

New Gymnasium:
Westfield Patch will feature a local exercise facility, New Gymnasium, which focuses on movement training and conditioning. Check back for more on the fitness spot!

Raritan Valley Rail Coalition:
A meeting will be held on Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the Westfield Municipal Building.  Assemblywoman Linda Stender will speak at the event. Also, members of the coalition will give an update on the one-seat ride campaign.
