What's happening today in Westfield?

What you need to know today, Oct. 15, in Westfield.
BOE Meeting: The Board of Education will hold their official meeting at 8 p.m. at 302 Elm Street. Superintendent Dr. Margaret Dolan will receive the county’s superintendent of the year award at the meeting.
Elections: Today is the last day to register to be able to vote in the Nov. 5 general election. Tomorrow, a special election will be held to fill the vacant New Jersey senate seat.
Sports: Oct. 15: Girls Volleyball vs. Cranford (away) at 4 p.m., Girls Soccer vs. Gov. Livingston (Home) at 4 p.m., Girls Tennis vs. Oak Knoll (away) at 4 p.m., Girls Gymnastics vs. Hunterdon Central (away) at 4:30 p.m.
GWACC Networking: The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host a networking event at 6 p.m. at the Route 22 Raymour & Flanigan. Register online at www.westfieldareachamber.com on the upcoming events page. Cost is $10 for current members and $15 for prospective members.
