“Since starting in Westfield, I have been impressed by the dedication of the staff. There is a
true motivation to provide for the success of all students,” Ramos said. “Even with a budget
that is less than comparably-sized districts, the staff has found ways to keep Westfield a top-
rated public school system.”

Prior to coming to Westfield, Ramos served as assistant business administrator for 18 years in
the Livingston Public School District, working closely with the business administrator in
preparing and maintaining the annual school budget.

“During my time in the Livingston Public Schools, I was trained on all aspects of the business
administrator role including transportation, payroll, buildings and grounds, managing employee
concerns, food services, and referendum projects,” Ramos said.

Ramos received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at St. Peter’s College in 2000 and
previously worked as a supervising senior accountant at Ernst and Young in Iselin from 2000-2003.

“Mrs. Ramos has a clear understanding of the role of finance and how it impacts a school
district and its students,” said Superintendent Dr. Raymond González. “Her strong credentials
and expertise will serve the district well as we prepare to present the 2023-2024 school budget
to Westfield voters in April.”
