• 'History Of Beer' Event Coming To Historic Westfield Site (patch.com) — Westfield residents can explore the history of brewing at the Miller-Cory House Museum’s “History of Beer, Without the Buzz” program on Feb. 22. The family-friendly event highlights ancient brewing origins, showcases the historic 1740 farmhouse, and supports the long-running work of the Westfield Historical Society in preserving local heritage.
   

• Police Chief, Town Fire Back At Lawsuit Filed By Former Westfield Cop (patch.com) — Westfield officials are formally disputing a former police officer’s lawsuit, denying his claims of retaliation and offering a detailed alternative account of his reassignment and resignation. The town and Police Chief Christopher Battiloro say disciplinary concerns and an internal affairs complaint, not harassment allegations, drove their actions and are asking a court to dismiss the case. Residents can expect this legal battle to continue unfolding locally.
   

• Lane lifts No. 7 Westfield to victory against Union Catholic (nj.com subscription) — Westfield High School’s girls basketball team stayed unbeaten at 9-0 with a dominant home win over Union Catholic, powered by 17 points and eight rebounds from Sophie Lane. Strong contributions from teammates, including double-digit scoring and big rebounding, helped extend Westfield’s best winning streak since the 2019-20 season.
