Pedestrian Hospitalized After NJ New Year's Eve Crash, Report Says

The pedestrian was unconscious after being hit on a Union County street, the report said.

ELIZABETH, NJ — A pedestrian was hospitalized Thursday after being hit by a car on a street in Elizabeth, according to a report.

The unidentified person was hit about 9 p.m. as they walked along North Broad Street, NJ.com reported. The person was unconscious and taken to University Hospital, the report said.

The driver stayed at the scene, the report said.
