Seven Westfield Students Named National Merit Semi-Finalists
The students have the opportunity to be finalists for the scholarship awards offered this spring.

The National Merit Scholarship awards have named seven Westfield High School students to join one percent of American students as semi-finalists.
The highest scoring entrants in each state on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test are chosen for this opportunity.
Principal Peter Renwick said the accomplishment, “speaks volumes about their abilities and commitment to their education.”
The seven students are: Rachel Holtzman, Jill Rosenfeld, and Yixue “Lily” Wang, Alexander Beals, Mark Gillespie, Kristin Hauge and Alex Mossawir.
They will have the opportunity to become a finalist for the 2014 Merit Scholarships, which are announced in the spring.
