Sweetgreen Opens 1st Union County Location In Westfield Next Week

For every meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to The Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Sweetgreen, a popular fast-casual salad restaurant, will open its 8th location in New Jersey in Westfield next week.

The restaurant will open on Tuesday, Feb. 4. at 221 E Broad St. in the former Farmhouse store.

"Lots of great momentum Downtown and I think we'll have some opening announcements in the next month. So great, great time. We look forward to lots of new businesses in the spring and summer," said Mayor Shelley Brindle of the opening at the Tuesday Council meeting.

To celebrate opening day, guests will be able to enjoy mini flower bouquets from Larkspur Botanicals and Sweetgreen wellness bags with exclusive offers from Club Pilates, Rumble, Bar Method, and Satsang Yoga Studio, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while supplies last.

The menu includes salads, warm bowls, protein plates, and sides, featuring longtime favorites like the Harvest Bowl and Caramelized Steak Protein Plate, alongside new menu items such as The Spicy Green Goddess bowl, featuring Sweetgreen’s signature ranch dressing.

For every meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to The Community FoodBank of New Jersey to nourish New Jerseyans experiencing food insecurity.

The new location is 2,815 square feet and will accommodate up to 29 diners inside. The location will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
