Serving Up Modern Shanghai-Inspired Dishes, Ugly Dumpling Opens In Union County
Ugly Dumpling's menu features an array of Dim Sum, Wontons, traditional noodles, and wok dishes with a modern spin.
LINDEN, NJ — Combining the centuries-old cooking techniques of Shanghai with today's modern palette, Ugly Dumpling recently opened its first location in Union County.
Ugly Dumpling opened on Feb. 5 at 661 W Edgar Rd, in Linden.
"Ugly Dumpling Linden marks our second location in New Jersey, with five more planned heading into the summer, and Linden is the very first showcasing our new branding," said Margaret M. Farrell, Head of Marketing for Ugly Dumpling. "Ugly Dumpling celebrates the heritage of Shanghai's street food movement, and we invite our guests to experience a contemporary restaurant that seamlessly blends tradition with innovation, offering an exciting dining experience for all."

Ugly Dumpling's signature dish is Xiao Long Bao (XLB), a Chinese dumpling hailing from Shanghai and filled with rich, flavorful soup broth.
The restaurant's menu also features an array of Dim Sum, Wontons, traditional noodles, and wok dishes with a modern spin, accompanied by traditional Shanghai appetizers and greens. There are also an array of teas and lattes and desserts. Check out the full menu here.

The Linden location also debuts the brand’s first Happy Hour menu featuring signature cocktail specials, appetizer and Dim Sum promotions, buy-one-get-one beer and seltzer specials and more.
