Westfield High School Theatre Productions Capture Numerous Awards
A number of Westfield High School's theatre students and productions have won awards this spring.

The Westfield High School Theatre Department recently won a pair of awards at the Paper Mill Playhouse awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony took place on June 2, where Westfield’s production of “Urinetown” won two Rising Star Awards, including Outstanding Performance by a Chorus and a Student Achievement in stage management for senior student, Stephen Bubniak, according to school district officials.
Earlier this spring, Westfield High School also won awards at the Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards for its fall production of “The Laramie Project”. The production garnered the Outstanding Production of a Drama award and Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor for senior Daniel Coelho, school district officials said.

Additionally, a number of Westfield students received awards at the Bucks County Theatre Festival. Awards were presented for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble to Jacqueline Daaleman and Lauren Echausse and juniors Madeline Hudelson, Madeleine Rosenthal, and Jesse Zimmermann, who performed in “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress”. Senior Michael Poyntz was Outstanding Performance by an Actor for his performance in “Devotion, Blindness and Wine.”
