Carnival, Apartment Hearing, Budget Votes This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.

The Washington Township Council is schedule to vote to adopt their 2013 budget during their meeting Monday night. Officials previously introduced the $12.3 million budget, which includes a tax increase of $27 for the average township homeowner. The Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Municipal Complex.
The Westwood Zoning Board meeting scheduled for this week has been canceled.
The authors of a study which reported that splitting up the Pascack Valley Regional School District "would succeed" will give a presentation about their findings and take questions from the public during a Woodcliff Lake Council meeting in the Tice Senior Center Monday night.

The Hillsdale Fire Department will hold a carnival in the parking lot between Wendy's and Friendly's starting Tuesday night. The carnival runs through Saturday. For each day's hours, check out the borough's website here.
The Westwood Council meets at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Complex. Officials are scheduled vote on an ordinance appropriating $150,000 for DPW equipment and to introduce another ordinance appropriating $385,000 for road and park improvements.

The Hillsdale Council is scheduled to vote to adopt their 2013 budget during their meeting Tuesday. Officials previously introduced the $12.5 million budget and amended it slightly. The average borough homeowner would see a tax increase of $57 if the budget is passed. The Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building.
The Hillsdale Planning Board is expected to continue hearing an application for a new 57-unit apartment building on Patterson Street during their meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.Â
The Westwood Regional Board of Education may select a new interim superintendent during their meeting Thursday. Current Interim Superintendent Rory McCourt is set to fill the role through June 30. The Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Westwood Regional High School.
