Gov. Chris Christie Visiting Westwood This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, HIllsdale and Washington Township.

NJ Transit's concrete repairs at the Westwood Train Station are scheduled to start Monday morning. The platform will remain open during the work.
The Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education is scheduled to vote this week on a $317,050 contract with Landsite Construction Company, Inc. to replace the bleachers at Pascack Valley High School. The Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Pascack Hills High School in Montvale.
The Washington Township Zoning Board is scheduled to continue hearing an application for a proposed CVS on the corner of Pascack Road and Washington Avenue during their meeting this week. At previous hearings, the Board has heard testimony regarding including one with an electronic message board. The Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the township Municipal Complex.

The Westwood Council is scheduled to approve funding for a new community garden during their meeting this week. The $20,000 fund will include a $10,000 grant from the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund. The Council's public meeting starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the borough Municipal Complex.
Gov. Chris Christie will visit Westwood Thursday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley. Reopening the former Pascack Valley Hospital was a campaign promise of Christie's during his first run for governor and the new hospital is set to open June 1. He also previously visited Westwood last year to announce the state's formal approval of the new facility.

Also Thursday, Parkside Community Church will hold their monthly Circle of Friends Family Food Ministry. The program offers free meals to anyone who needs or wants one.
