Cops, Dumont Restaurant Pay Tribute To Fallen Jersey City Officer
Grant Street Cafe also plans to keep a bucket behind the bar for patrons to donate money for the Seals family.

DUMONT, NJ - A group of Jersey City police officers left behind a tribute at a Dumont restaurant Wednesday evening to Detective Joseph Seals, who was killed in the line of duty this week.
Seals, 39, a married father of five, was among six people killed on Tuesday –including two suspects and three civilians – in an hours-long gun battle in Jersey City.
In a Facebook post, Grant Street Café shared a photo of the memorial the officers made for Seals, 13-year-veteran of the force. The restaurant plans to keep the seat reserved for Seals as a tribute for the next few days.

"Tonight we had the privilege of hosting a few of Jersey City's finest police officers. Once they left we found this memorial at their table in memory of their fallen brother, Detective Joseph Seals. In his honor we have decided to reserve this seat for the weekend," the restaurant said.
