Fiber Optic Contract Vote, Local Students Singing in Statewide Choir This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.

The Hillsdale Board of Education is scheduled to vote on awarding a contract for the installation of a fiber optic network at the district's three schools during their meeting this week. Millenium Communications Group submitted the low bid of about $112,000 for the work and annual inspection, according to the meeting's agenda. The Board meets at 8 p.m. Monday in George G. White Middle School.
Parkside Community Church of Westwood will host registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator Janet Blum for an "optimal health program" from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Blooming Hearts Treasure Shop will hold a pair of events this week. Monday, La Shonda Tyree of NYAH artisanal soaps will lead a soap-making workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. The shop will also host landscape designer Elizabeth Snieckus of Scott Landscape Design for a program on spring gardening Tuesday from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Saturday, two Brookside Elementary students will be singing with the New Jersey Elementary Honor Choir at J.P. Case Middle School in Flemington.
