Hillsdale Police Presenting 'Safe Banks' Program
The presentation focuses on dealing with stressful situations.

Hillsdale and River Vale Police are planning to present a “Safe Banks – Safe Businesses” program discussing a variety of critical scenarios, from medical emergencies to robberies, based upon the industry’s best practices and latest standards.
The event will take place Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the River Vale Country Club, located at 660 Rivervale Road in River Vale.
Human nature can often prevent us from thinking clearly during stressful moments. The best way to combat panic and emphasize positive concepts for dealing with emergencies is to formulate responses for these incidents ahead of time. This program offers bank employees a vivid PowerPoint presentation and open discussion about many of the situations that can impact a bank’s operations like fraud/identity scams, bad checks, false panic alarms, false burglar or robbery alarms, medical emergencies, actual bank robberies and bank takeovers.
Given the fluctuating turnover rate of staff in the industry, a periodic review of critical scenarios is imperative, reinforcing the proper handling of these circumstances by new employees, as well as seasoned employees. This program hopes to combat complacency and offer sound, reasonable responses to a whole host of fluid situations.
