Hillsdale United Nursery School had "Hedgehog Day" on April 19. Christopher DiPiazza from Outrageous Pets introduced the 3- and 4-year-old students to a hedgehog and baby rabbits. The children learned about the animals' eating habits, their habitats and their ecological importance. Classes discussed how hedgehogs protect themselves and made miniature hedgehog crafts to take home. Each child was given the opportunity to pet the Hedgehog and the rabbits.
