Man Found Dead In House In Oradell: Police

A man was found dead in a home in Oradell on Wednesday, said police.

ORADELL, NJ — Police are investigating the death of a man in a residential area of Oradell, they said.

On Wednesday, the local police — with assistance from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office — responded to a report of a deceased person at a residence on Battle Place, they said.

The officers found a 52-year-old man dead.

"After a preliminary investigation, authorities report that there are no indications of foul play," said police, who added that they believe the death was self inflicted.

"The Oradell Police Department extends its condolences to the family and reminds the community that support is available for those in crisis," said Chief David Gangemi. "If you or someone you know is struggling, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988."
