New Westwood Hospital Invites Community to Open House

HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley is planning to hold an open house for the public May 18.

The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature "entertainment, food and tours of the brand new, state-of-the-art facility," according to hospital rep Lauren Zaccardi Samman.

“Our community is the reason this hospital has been brought back to life," hospital CEO Chad Melton said in a press release. "It took many passionate community members to make this project happen and there is no better way to celebrate than to thank them for their commitment and dedication."

The hospital will have 128 private rooms and feature brand new equipment when they open June 1, Melton previously told Patch. The renovations also include improvements to the building to make it more comfortable for patients, he said.

Because parking will be limited at the hospital during their open house, shuttle buses will be operating from other sites around the area to transport attendees. 

The buses will run from the following parking lots:

• Pascack Valley Swim Club, 140 Tillman St., Westwood,
• Armenian Home for the Aged, 70 Main St., Emerson,
• Westwood Regional High School, 701 Ridgewood Rd,. Washington Township,
• United Water, 200 Old Hook Rd., Harrington Park and
• Chevrolet of Westwood, 39/40 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood.
