Papillon Bambino Offers Kids' Gifts in Westwood

The new shop features unique clothing and toys to celebrate special occasions.

Downtown Westwood has a new stop for kids' gifts on special occasions.

Papillon Bambino was recently opened by local mom Tammy Lynch, who said she hoped to fill the hole left by the closings of Learning Express and The Lollipop Tree.

The shop offers baby registry services, clothes for ages 0-2 and toys for kids aged 0-7 like child-sized cars, stuffed animals, a tiny grand piano and unique gift baskets prepared by Lynch.

Prices range from $10 to $500. Everything, regardless of price, can be expertly wrapped.

"Everything leaves the store looking like a million bucks," Lynch said.

The store is fully stocked, but has only had a "soft opening" so far. Lynch didn't plan to open the store this soon — they don't have a counter yet — but customers began asking about items she put up in the shop's window in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The store should have a full opening by the spring.

"It's kind of a good problem for people to want you to open that bad," Lynch said.

Papillon Bambino is located at 37 Westwood Avenue, the former location of Jess & Co. Jewelery. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
