Special Senate Election Voter Registration Deadline is Tuesday
The seat opened after Sen. Frank Lautenberg died last month.

Residents who aren't already registered to vote and want to participate in the special senate elections have until the end of Tuesday to register.
After Sen. Frank Lautenberg died last month, Gov. Chris Christieset August 13 as the special primary election and October 16 as the special general election.
Democrats Cory Booker, Rush Holt, Sheila Y. Oliver and Frank Pallone Jr. and Republicans Alieta Eck and Steven M. Lonegan are all seeking the seat. State Attorney General Steven Chiesa, who was appointed to fill the seat temporarily, is not seeking to keep it.
Westwood residents seeking to register can visit the municipal clerk's office in the borough hall on Washington Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Hillsdale residents can visit the municipal clerk's office in their borough hall on Hillsdale Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Washington Township residents can visit the municipal clerk's office in the town hall on Hudson Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
