UFO Sightings In River Vale Among 183 Reported In NJ In 2019

New Jersey had 183 reported sightings of strange objects in 2019, according to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC)​.

RIVER VALE, NJ - Was it a bird? A plane? Superman? An alien? Whatever it could be, River Vale was among those to report a UFO sighting in 2019.

New Jersey had 183 reported sightings of strange objects in 2019, according to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).

That includes repeated strange sightings in River Vale, with the most recent one being reported on Nov. 30 at 5:24 p.m. The township also had reports of incidents on Sept. 7, Aug. 20, June 25 and May 23.

Other nearby sightings:

  • In Woodcliff Lake on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. when someone reported a "Gray triangle" that moved slowly above the trees.
  • In Emerson on Nov. 4 at 4:30 p.m. there was a report of "a flash of white light in the sky at night."
  • In Upper Saddle River on Sept. 7 at 7:45 p.m., someone reported seeing something strange "on my deck, trying to show my 3-year-old a bat flying over the house, sun was down it was nearly dark."
  • In Ridgewood on Aug. 1 at 10:30 p.m., there was a report made of a "flat black looking car-sized rectangle with a cupola on top with a featureless driver" that "appeared to look down."
  • In Ho-Ho-Kus on Jan. 8 at 10:18 p.m., a driver reported while traveling north on Route 17, there was "a triangular craft" that crossed their path "about 100 feet off the ground."
  • In Glen Rock on March 30 at 8:30 p.m., someone reported a "triangular UFO 300 ft, slow moving not linear, just above trees."

The reports made their way to a list compiled by the National UFO Reporting Center, an independent organization that's been around since 1974. The group, which has assisted police departments when people report their observations to 911, has put together a list of more than 90,000 sightings around the world.
