Laura Rifkin, the new director of the Washington Township Library, recently appeared in an interview on WCTV.
In the interview, Rifkin spoke new programming like book clubs for adults, tech classes and informative speakers they're hosting.
Rifkin, who previously worked as a manager of two New York City library branches, told Patch she hoped to make the library a "focal point" in the community with more programs for adults and families.

She also spoke about the library's effort to archive historic photos, the children's room and other library resources in the interview.
"The library is a community center, not just a research center," Rifkin said in the WCTV interview.
