Here are all the important dates families need to know about for the coming school year.
WESTWOOD, NJ— Don't let this news stop you from enjoying the remainder of the summer, but the first bell of the 2019-20 school year is about a week away.
Here are some key dates for the upcoming school year:
- First day of school: Sept. 5
- Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 30-Oct. 1
- Yom Kippur: Oct. 9
- Half Days for PreK-5: Oct. 21-22
- District Closed: Nov. 8
- Early Dismissal: Nov. 27
- Thanksgiving break: Nov. 28-29
- Winter break: Dec. 23 to Jan. 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school closed: Jan. 20
- Winter Break: Feb. 17
- Spring Break: April 6-10
- Memorial Day, No School: May 25
- Last Day of School: June 18
Noting these dates are good way to prepare for going back to school. But don't forget the school supplies.
