Westwood Residents Invited to 'Jeans for Troops' Friday

Residents can wear jeans for a photo to send to American soldiers overseas and donate to the G.I. Go Fund.

Employees of Westwood are inviting residents to join them in front of the Municipal Complex Friday for a "Jeans for Troops" event.

Last year, the borough let its employees who donated $5 to the G.I. Go Fund wear jeans one day. They raised $170 for the fund, which supports veterans, and took photos and signed cards that were sent to American soldiers in Afghanistan.

In return, members of one of the units sent back a flag to thank the borough employees.
