WOODBRIDGE, NJ - Additional charges have been filed against a Colonia-based doctor accused of inappropriately touching female patients, according to a NJ.com report.

Dr. Gurvindra Johal, 55, of Colonia, who worked at Amboy Urgent Care on Cornell Street in Perth Amboy, was slapped with another criminal sexual contact charge on Tuesday, the outlet reported.

A request for comment from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office was not immediately returned.

Johal was initially arrested on Feb. 25 and charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact at that time. He was charged again in March with two additional counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of sex assault, Patch previously reported.

One victim reported that Dr. Johal had sexual intercourse with her against her will. Another woman came forward and accused him of inappropriately touching her while she was his patient.

Prosecutor’s offices in Essex and Monmouth counties have also charged the doctor with criminal sexual contact at urgent care centers in Newark and Freehold.
