Bergen Woman Sues Restaurant, Claims She was Fired for Being Pregnant

New Milford woman says the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn fired her after she made two trips to the hospital during her pregnancy, report says.

A Bergen County woman is claiming that she was fired for being pregnant, and she’s suing the restaurant manager who she claims fired her.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, Brittany Poveromo, 27, of New Milford, filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern last week claiming that she was fired after four months of working there because she was pregnant.

Poveromo claims she was let go as assistant manager after making a pair of trips to the emergency room for minor complications during her pregnancy, the report said.
