WYCKOFF, NJ — Due to a lightning strike, power lines are down on Wyckoff Avenue and part of the road is closed in both directions, township officials said Friday.

Police said on Facebook that a utility line fell and was "burning."

A video camera in a Wyckoff police patrol vehicle filmed the lightning strike.
The lighting strike was reported at 12:15 p.m. and several power outages were reported in the area, including traffic signals, said Lt. Joseph Soto.

Orange & Rockland was notified and responded to the area for repairs, Soto said. They restored power except for an isolated area near the strike.
No injuries were reported.
The incident comes as five New Jersey counties were under a tornado warning.
