Public Comment Sought on Green Acres Grant

The Township Committee will hold a public hearing at 8 p.m. July 20 at Town Hall regarding a proposed Green Acres grant application.

The meeting, to be held in the Municipal Courtroom, will solicit public comment on possible grant applications for full or partial acquisition of the Russell Farms property at Russell and Sicomac avenues and the former Maple Lake property.

The township had previously been awarded $1.859 million in county open space funds for the possible purchase of Russell Farms, which is currently being negotiated.

The meeting is open to all.
