On October 30, a citizen reported to Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci that she believed she was defrauded by a Wyckoff business owner. The subsequent investigation resulted in a charge of 2nd degree theft being filed against a 49-year-old Wood-Ridge woman. She was charged on a summons and is scheduled to appear in court.

On November 25 at approximately 10:30 PM, Sgt. Mark Tagliareni was monitoring traffic on Route 208. He observed a vehicle travelling northbound with several equipment violations. The vehicle was stopped and the subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old Englewood woman. She was transported into headquarters and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. She was released pending a court date.

Motor Vehicle Violations, Drug Possession

On November 27 at approximately 11:30 PM, P.O. Kyle Ferreira was monitoring traffic on Route 208. He observed a vehicle travelling southbound exceeding the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and the subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 17 year old male from Cliffside Park, NJ. The juvenile was transported into headquarters and issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and unclear license plates. The matter was forwarded to the Juvenile Bureau for follow up.

Driving While Intoxicated

On November 28 at approximately 3:15 AM, P.O. Kyle Ferreira observed a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner on Wyckoff Avenue. The vehicle was stopped and the subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old woman from Bedford, NY. She was transported into headquarters and issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated under 21 years of age, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding. After processing, she was released to the custody of a friend. Her vehicle was impounded and held for 12 hours under John’s Law.
