Indian Hills Girls Bowling Wins First Sectional Title In History

"Amazing season ladies!" the high school's bowling program said. "So proud of all you've accomplished!"

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — For the first time in Indian Hills High School history, the girls bowling team is the state sectional champion.

Fueled by juniors Alison Babino and Daria Carlson, and senior captain Natalie Christopher, all of whom averaged a pin total of about 545, the Braves captured the Group 1, North 1 title, with 2,455 pins, at the state tournament in Hackensack.

"What an awesome team!" the Indian Hills athletics program said in a tweet. "Let's go Braves!"

Babino, Carlson and Christopher each qualified for the individual state finals, and Indian Hills, with a 12-3 season record, advanced to the team group finals, at Bowlero-North Brunswick on Feb. 22

"Absolutely unbelievable! So proud to call this team Braves!" Indian Hills school counseling tweeted.

Indian Hills finished sixth at state in Group 1 (including North 1 and 2, Central and South), rolling a 2,181. New Egypt won with a 2,578-pin game.
