WYCKOFF, NJ — Free swim lessons served as a point of "finspiration" for young swimmers across the country, as they set resolutions to learn a new word every day, make a new friend, and perfect a crab walk.

And a two-year-old Wyckoff swimmer, who shared his goal to "help mommy cook" to social media, was selected and announced last week as the winner of Goldfish Swim School's year-round contest to showcase 2023 goals.

Grayson Anderson was seen making pizza in a post tagged #goldfishgoldenyears that also featured a photo of a Goldfish calendar with his goal written. As the winner of the swim school franchise's first Golden Years competition, Anderson and his family were presented with a free year of swim lessons and Goldfish swag.

"We were thrilled to present the Anderson family as the first winners of the #goldfishgoldenyears campaign," Goldfish Swim School in Wyckoff said on Facebook.

In addition to presenting the Anderson family as the first winners of the campaign, the winning Wyckoff school was able to gift another swimmer with a year of lessons.

Another two-year-old named Skylar, who was receiving some social support for lessons, will now be able to continue swimming for the year at no cost, Goldfish Wyckoff owner Jennifer Casper said.

"We're so excited for Skylar to keep swimming," Casper said. "Her guardian is her great aunt who does have a pool, so having lessons is very important for their family."

In fact, the girl's aunt said when her niece gets picked up from school, she asks, "Swimming today?".

Now, thanks to Goldfish, Casper said, the two young swimmers can keep celebrating their "golden years" with the swim school.
