Retired Director At The Valley Hospital, Former Wyckoff Resident Dies

WYCKOFF, NJ — A former Wyckoff resident and retired accounting director at The Valley Hospital died last week at age 79.

Ruth Ann Thorne, also formerly the President of the Ridgewood Women's Club, passed away on Nov. 9, her obituary published by Vander Plaat Funeral Home said.

Following her retirement from Valley, Thorne often volunteered and spent time with her dogs. She loved flowers and gardening, and reading while drinking Diet Pepsi, her obituary said.

She loved her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed, her obituary added.
