Wyckoff Jeweler Targeted In Smash-And-Grab Robbery: Police

A pair of suspects made off with several items from a Wyckoff jewelry store after breaking in through a window, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A duo smashed a Wyckoff jewelry store window before swiping several items, police officials said.

Two people are suspected of burglarizing Hartgers Jewelers in Wyckoff early Saturday Morning, police Lt. Joseph Soto said.

Several pieces of jewelry and watches were taken, priced at an unspecified amount. Hartgers, located at 699 Wyckoff Avenue, is compiling a list of stolen items, police said.

A security alarm was activated at about 3:35 a.m., prompting response from officers who quickly set up a perimeter around the building, only to find that the suspects had already fled, police said.

Police also observed a broken window on the north side of the building with a ladder on the ground underneath it, and later saw the two suspects on surveillance photos, with one making entry and the other remaining outside.
