- Three people were arrested amid a DoorDash confrontation in southwest Albuquerque on Saturday. Court documents report Nicki Osborne was attempting to deliver an order when three individuals, all armed with guns, emerged from a residence. Though shots were fired at the driver, she escaped the scene uninjured. The three suspects β Lawrence Mora, Jaylene Mora, and Christina Cervantes β then reportedly barricaded themselves inside the residence, eventually surrendering after a long standoff with detectives and SWAT units. - Though the Albuquerque housing market is still hot, median prices for single-family homes in the area have decreased for four consecutive months. As of December 2022, the median sale price was $326,750 β a drop of over $10,000 since the spring and summer of the same year. Inventory has also increased by about 50 percent from December 2021. - A committee has presented a proposal to repurpose several Albuquerque Public Schools. As enrollment has continuously declined over the past decade, the district is attempting to determine how the school buildings can best serve students and the community at large. The current proposal, which would not require school closures or layoffs, would take several years to implement in full. (Albuquerque Public Schools)
