Speaking from Albuquerque, he warns that losing premium tax credits may push residents to drop insurance, leading to more emergency care, higher medical debt, and even bankruptcy for common procedures like childbirth.
   

2. While general disclaimer rules remain in place, the ruling pauses enforcement of detailed donor disclosures as the First Amendment lawsuit continues, potentially reshaping how local campaigns and advocacy groups operate in upcoming city debates.
   

3. Amarillo youth choir brings holiday concert to Old Town (kob.com) — Old Town Albuquerque shoppers were treated to a live holiday concert by about 100 children from the Pilgrimage Christmas Concert, visiting from Amarillo, Texas. One performer with Albuquerque roots shared how meaningful it was to perform in his hometown, and local families stepped up to host the young visitors before they continue their tour to Las Cruces.
   

4. Local artist honors gun violence victims with Wheels Museum mural (kob.com) — Families affected by gun violence gathered at Albuquerque’s Wheels Museum to celebrate a new mural that reflects the city’s transportation history and their loved ones’ memories. Led by local artist Ryan Saavedra, participants shared food, made personalized Christmas ornaments, and found support in a community that understands their loss.
   

5. Dexter band director to play in Rose Parade (krqe.com) — Two Albuquerque band directors will join Dexter Middle School’s Bruce Bailey in marching with a 330-member ensemble in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day, proudly representing New Mexico. Bailey, a piccolo player and small-school band director, hopes the national spotlight inspires more students across the state to pursue music and follow their band directors’ example.
