APD investigating fatal crash in the NE (koat.com) — A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday afternoon in a crash at the busy Menaul and University intersection in northeast Albuquerque, and APD is still investigating what happened. Police say a Jeep turning left and a BMW motorcycle both had green lights when they collided, and speed on the motorcycle appears to be a factor, though neither driver showed signs of impairment.
   

2. Joy Junction holds annual Christmas Feast in Albuquerque (krqe.com) — Joy Junction is serving hundreds of holiday meals for Albuquerque residents, starting with a big Christmas feast at the Albuquerque Convention Center and continuing with dinners at the shelter on December 22 and Christmas Day. 4. Republican N.M. candidate for governor Duke Rodriguez insists he meets residency requirement for race (durangoherald.com) — A Republican candidate for New Mexico governor is defending that his primary residence is in Albuquerque, despite court records showing returned mail and references to an Arizona address. Parking tickets tied to a car at Albuquerque International Sunport and questions about his voter registration history are fueling scrutiny of whether he meets the state’s residency requirements.
   

5. New Mexico woman accused of bringing siblings on shoplifting spree (krqe.com) — Albuquerque police arrested a 19-year-old woman they say involved her younger siblings in a shoplifting attempt at the Target on Coors Boulevard, where security recognized her from past incidents. Officers stopped the minors as they tried to leave without paying, later locating the driver and booking her into the Metropolitan Detention Center while the juveniles were released to their parents.
