Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:
- The Albuquerque Police Department and the Bernalillo County Sherriff's Office worked together to arrest about 60 street racers this past weekend. The departments monitored the racing activity from above after being tipped off about a planned event called "Take the Streets Over." Those not speeding or driving recklessly were still charged with criminal trespass and being a spectator of street racing through a new county ordinance. (KRQE News 13)
- The final vote for Albuquerque's citizen redistricting committee will be today. The redistricting will determine the city's electoral map for the next 10 years. The committee will vote and rank the eight proposed maps. The City Council will make its final decision in the fall. (Albuquerque Journal)
- The Albuquerque Police Department has launched a road rage reporting portal. The portal is in response to homicides that occurred last year due to road rage. The reporting will be anonymous if the reporter wishes. Click to access the portal. (KRQE News 13)
