Central Avenue underpass completely closed as Rail Trail project continues (krqe.com) — Downtown pedestrians should know the Central Avenue underpass at 1st Street is now fully closed as Albuquerque’s Rail Trail construction ramps up, with no reopening date set. City leaders say the shutdown is strictly for construction safety, and walkers are being redirected to the Marquette crossing while crews work on a project they hope will better connect both sides of downtown.
