- Police are investigating a shooting that happened over the weekend, killing one and injuring another. According to officials, a call reported shots fired at 920 Louisiana Boulevard Southeast early Sunday morning. One person was found dead at the scene and another was transported to the hospital for injuries. This is an ongoing investigation and the police do not yet have a suspect. (KOAT New Mexico)
- Things are heating up for the summer in Albuquerque and pools are opening just in time. Pools in both Albuquerque and Bernalillo Counties are officially open for the season. Splash pads are free to the public and open beginning in June. Swimming lessons are available at all pools. Admission pricing depends on the pool and can be found here. (Albuquerque Journal)
- Have you seen a lot of moths around your home lately? You're not alone. The city of Albuquerque is crawling with moths, and for good reason. Some experts believe the spring rain has been attracting them as moths love water. For those who would rather avoid the moths, turning off outside lights, closing windows, and sealing doors can help. - ABQ BioPark announced the passing of long-time resident Koluk. Koluk was a 26-year-old polar bear that had been in the care of ABQ BioPark since 1997. Koluk's twin brother Kiska is in good health and remains at the zoo. (ABQ BioPark via Instagram)
- In honor of AAPI Night at the Albuquerque Isotopes game, concession stands will be serving up some special food! They will be introducing the Ballpark Sushi Hot Dog and the Hawaiian Burger. Don't miss this special event. (Albuquerque Isotopes via Instagram)
- Zoo Music will return to ABQ BioPark on Friday, Jun. 2. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. so you can find a spot! The zoo will be open to those who would like the view the exhibits. (ABQ BioPark via Instagram)
