Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:
- ABQ Ride has begun its new streamlined bus schedule, which affects 25 out of the bus schedule's 30 routes. Officials say the new schedule is necessary due to ongoing national bus driver shortages that have left the department with around 80 bus driver openings, 29 Sun Van driver openings, and the removal of six routes. Anyone interested in becoming a bus driver is encouraged to apply on the city's website. (KOB 4)
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is searching for a suspect accused of robbing the Bank of Albuquerque located at 2500 Louisiana Blvd. NE on Monday, Mar. 27. The suspect, dubbed the "Greedy Goatee Bandit" by officials, is described as a Hispanic/white male who is about five feet and 10 inches tall, in his mid-30s, and is a suspect in another bank robbery. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is encouraged to contact the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or they can anonymously contact Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers at (505) 843-STOP. (KRQE News 13)
- Albuquerque police are searching for a truck they believe is connected to a homicide that took place in northwest Albuquerque on Mar. 18 during which a motorcyclist was shot and killed at Alameda Boulevard and Corrales Road. The truck is described as a mid-2000s gray or white Ford F150 with an extended cab and a long bed, and it may have a visible black headache rack. Anyone with information about the truck or the incident is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at (505) 843-7867. (KRQE News 13)
