Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:
- The Albuquerque Convention Center will be unveiling a statue of Breaking Bad characters in late July. The statues will depict Jesse Pinkman and Walter White. The television show has brought countless tourists to Albuquerque and the statues are meant to recognize that. They have been donated by Sony Pictures Television and created by sculptor Trevor Grove. - A man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an Albuquerque Bank on Jul. 8. According to the criminal complaint, Andrew Mata robbed the U.S. Bank on Central Avenue by passing a note to the bank's teller. He has been charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance and one count of robbery. (KRQE News 13)
- A retired military dog has been reunited with his handler in Albuquerque. Akim was separated from Senior Airman Jenna Canada after serving together in South Korea. They were reunited through American Humane. Canada has expressed her desire to keep the 10-year-old dog happy and healthy through many adventures. (KOB 4)
