  1. The city of Albuquerque is looking for voters to approve its $200 million bond package, which serves as its biggest one yet. This bond would focus on setting aside around $50 million to help improve roads, parks, and public safety, as well as rehabilitate buildings and different infrastructures around Albuquerque. According to officials, the city's tax is expected to say the same, despite these extra funds. (KRQE)
  2. A 34-year-old man has been pronounced dead after altercations with law enforcement and attempting to escape from a New Mexico County Jail. According to police, John Sanchez had been arrested earlier this month for stealing a vehicle but was set to be released on Monday from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque. The sheriff's office is currently investigating the man's death and three jail officers were put on administrative leave pending the investigation's outcome. (KOB)
  3. After a fire broke out at a southeast apartment complex in Albuquerque, numerous families were displaced. Albuquerque's Fire and Rescue team arrived on the scene a little after 8 p.m. to discover a fire had broken out on the second floor of the complex. The team was able to get the fire under control with no injuries relatively quickly, but they're still unsure what caused the incident in the first place. (KOAT)
