  1. Albuquerque City Councilor Loui Sanchez wrote a letter to the state attorney general to request an investigation into Mayor Tim Keller's administration following a report that accused the mayor of using city money to buy turf for a team that doesn't play in the city. Of the incident, Sanchez said, "It has outraged me, and it has outraged the public. We want to get to the bottom of this and it’s all about transparency here." In a request for a response, the mayor said, "Theses are empty accusations from a councilor who has been biased against this administration from day one." (KOB 4)
  2. Albuquerque will be hosting its first Multicultural Arts Festival on May 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Singing Arrow Community Center. The event will feature art, performances, live music, food trucks, and more, and organizers are looking for more artists who would like a table to display their arts and crafts for the theme "Colors of the World." Interested artists can fill out an application online by clicking here. (KRQE News 13)
  3. The old water park near Carlisle and I-40 has been demolished. Crews began the process two weeks ago, and the developer plans to turn the 2.3-acre site into a retail center that is expected to open in the next year and a half. The new center will feature food and retail with potential plans for a convenience store. (KRQE News 13)
