Here are the top three stories today in Albuquerque:

  1. The City of Albuquerque highlights a new study that supposedly proves that revitalizing downtown is important. The report was issued by the Metro Redevelopment Agency. According to the report, the city's downtown population has decreased by 60 percent since 2000. City officials hope that the report will act as an important resource as they make future decisions.   2. A New Mexico nonprofit is building ramps for individuals facing mobility issues. The New Mexico Ramp Project wants to assist the estimated 77,000 people that need ramps in Albuquerque. Residents can submit applications for a ramp by visiting the nonprofit's website. (KOB)
  3. An Albuquerque resident is biking across the United States to bring awareness to suicide. Richard Lima will be starting his bike ride in North Carolina next month. He will be cycling more than 4,200 miles to bring awareness to the work of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The impressive bike ride can be followed by visiting Lima's social media page.
