- Expo New Mexico has recently taken on a new purpose as a hub for those affected by wildfires. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been working at the fairgrounds to take in and ship out supplies, including portable homes for first responders addressing the blazes. In addition to being a resource hub, Expo New Mexico is also open to displaced people and their animals seeking shelter. (KOAT New Mexico)
- Celebrate the brilliance of Albuquerque at SOMOS DreamGlow, taking place today (May 14) from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum. According to the event website, SOMOS DreamGlow is a "big, bright, beautiful festival" that "brings us all together for a big night of music, art, and community." Attendees of all ages can enjoy art installations, photo booths, aerial dancers, food trucks, and more. (KRQE News 13)
- The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a suspected homicide at a southeast Albuqeruque pharmacy. Officers responded just after midnight on Friday to reports of a deceased person behind a Walgreens at Central and San Mateo. The victim was found by authorities with "trauma consistent with a suspected murder," according to a KOB report, prompting homicide detectives to be called to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and details are limited as of the time of publishing. (KOB)

- Albuquerque police are searching for a couple accused of stealing thousands from a number of big box stores. Marvin Alderete and his wife, Ashley Roybal, are accused of stealing from 28 stores totaling around $20,000. (KRQE News 13)
