The career fair will be offering interviews and hiring for food and beverage, the culinary team, and many more positions within the company. - Jury selection has officially begun for the trial of Albuquerque man Yonnis Abreu who is currently facing murder charges for an incident that happened in 2021. Abreu was identified as the primary suspect in the shooting and killing of Dylan Spiess at the East Central Motel through surveillance video and pictures posted online. Police reported that last year Abreu cut off his ankle monitor last year upon being released from prison. He will be trialed for second-degree murder as well as illegally having a handgun. (KOB 4)
- The city of Albuquerque is looking to potentially purchase the property at 301 San Mateo Blvd SE, where an underperforming Walmart is currently present and closing soon. Lawmakers in New Mexico are supporting the potential move by the city and have contributed $2 million toward the project. However, according to the mayor of Albuquerque that is still not enough to purchase the property at the current market's value. Public input meetings are currently being planned for what could potentially be done with the property, but no dates or times are currently in place. The senior vice president of CBRE, who is in charge of handling the sale of the property, said some potential buyers have contacted them but did not disclose much additional information.
